One of NYC's largest and fastest growing advertising companies is seeking
talented
and energetic graphic designers and advertising art directors to join our
dynamic design team.

This non paying internship-for-credit program is a wonderful opportunity
for students to get on
hands experience creating fully integrated campaigns for such clients as
Claritin, Coppertone,
Dr. Scholls, Advair as well as new business pitches.

Requirements:-Strong proficiency in Creative Suite CS
-Experience in creating graphic imagery to solve marketing problems
-Experience in interactive design and online media production
-Exceptional portfolio that showcases solid conceptual layout skills
-This position requires the ability to consistently produce a high quality
work,
attention to details, meet tight deadlines to complete assignments on time
-Must possess a positive attitude, a great work ethic and willingness to
see projects through to completion
-Ideal candidate must be a highly self-motivated team player and a quick
learner
who able to work independently and with direction as part of a team

Students will be evaluated by John Rea, a Creative Director at Euro and a
20 year instructor
in the Continuing Education Dept at SVA.

Job Requirements:

• BFA in Graphic Design

• Minimum of two year experience in graphic design, communications, or a design related field

• Must have strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop CS5

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite

• Highly detail-oriented

• Strong organizational skills

• Professional writing and communication skills

• Ability to multi-task with changing priorities

• Willingness to accept new responsibilities

• Web knowledge a plus

Mother Design, headed by Michael Ian Kaye, is a sub group of Mother New York. It was born to create a fully integrated brand experience with a strategic approach to design. Through the understanding of a brand's heritage, vision, values and unique positioning, we leverage strategy, design, and intuition to establish an emotional connection with consumers.  Our work reflects who we are. Requirements:

• Must be proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and all other basic programs.  As well as, hardworking, honest, and reliable.
• Must be able to work at least 2 full days, per week, we would prefer consecutive days. Please note intern are required to stay late occasionally.
• There is the potential for payment and/ or credit, depending on your residency status and the requirements set by your registrar's office.

 

 

Interns are responsible for assisting the entire design group. Duties include, but are not limited to:

·      Design Challenges

·      Layouts

·      Retouching

·      Board touch ups

·      Image research

·      Preparation for client presentations

·      Scanning

·      Filing

·      General up keep

January – May
