Overview:

Penthouse Magazine Group is seeking a Junior Designer who welcomes variety and challenge and can offer fresh and intelligent ideas. The ideal candidate should be a motivated, friendly, computer-savvy and detail-oriented individual. This is an excellent, entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate to learn all aspects of design from concept to print while working in a professional corporate environment. 
 


Primary duties will include working closely with the Art Director and Assistant Designer in the production of Penthouse’s Secondary Publications (Penthouse Letters/Girls of Penthouse/Penthouse Forum/Variations) and assigned print materials. Ideal candidate possesses a combination of basic design skills, is detail-oriented, a fast learner, enthusiastic and is extremely organized and efficient. Candidate must be able to follow and execute directions. Duties include designing and processing magazine layouts and doing research.
 


Job Requirements:
College graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design.
1 year full-time experience required in editorial design.
Should be comfortable working with adult-themed content.
High proficiency in Mac OS X and Adobe Creative Suites required.
Excellent typographic, photo selection, color selection and layout skills.
Must be a team player and have clear communication skills.
Must be highly organized, with excellent time management skills and have the ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of electronic pre-press file preparation a plus.
Sense of humor a plus.
